Clinic Website Checklist For Johor Bahru Clinics And Dentists

A clinic website has one job that most business websites do not: it has to make a nervous person feel safe enough to book. Someone searching “dentist Johor Bahru” at 10pm with a toothache is not comparing logos. They want to know you are real, you are qualified, you are open tomorrow and they can book without making a phone call.

This checklist is what we go through when we build a website for a clinic, dental practice, physiotherapy centre or aesthetic clinic in Johor Bahru. Use it to audit the website you have or to brief whoever builds your next one.

1. Appointment Booking That Works On A Phone

This is the item that pays for everything else. If a patient cannot book in under a minute on their phone, they will book with the clinic that lets them.

  • A booking button visible at the top of every page, not hidden in a menu.
  • WhatsApp as a booking option, with a pre-filled message: “Hi, I would like to book an appointment for…”. In JB this is how most patients prefer to book.
  • A short form as the alternative: name, phone, preferred date, reason for visit. Nothing more.
  • If you use booking software, embed it rather than linking away.
  • Confirmation on the screen and by WhatsApp or email, so the patient knows it went through.

For clinics that want the whole path designed, from the advert or search result to the confirmed appointment, we build an Appointment Booking Funnel from RM 1,688, which includes the pages, the booking flow and the follow-up messages.

2. The Trust Signals Patients Look For

Before booking, patients look for proof. Put it where they will see it.

  • The doctors. Name, photo, qualifications, languages spoken and a short, human paragraph for each. Patients choose people, not clinics.
  • Registration. Your clinic’s registration under the Private Healthcare Facilities and Services Act, and practitioners’ professional registration, stated plainly.
  • Real photos. The reception, the treatment rooms, the equipment, the team. Stock photos of smiling models erode trust rather than build it.
  • Reviews. Google reviews quoted on the website, with a link to see them all. Do not invent any, and do not cherry-pick so hard that it looks curated.
  • Clear prices. At least “from” prices for common treatments. Patients who cannot find a price assume it is high. Singapore patients in particular are comparing against home prices and want to see numbers in RM.
  • Address, map, parking and hours. With public holiday hours and an “open now” line if you can keep it current.

One caution: medical advertising in Malaysia is regulated. Claims about treatments and results may require approval from the Medicine Advertisements Board before they are published. Describe what you offer plainly and check the rules before publishing anything that reads like a promise of results.

3. A Service Page For Every Treatment

A single “Our Services” list cannot rank on Google for “scaling and polishing JB” or “braces Johor Bahru price”. A page for each treatment can.

Each page should cover what the treatment is, who it is for, what to expect at the visit, how long it takes, aftercare, a from-price in RM and a booking button. Written in plain language, at the level of a worried patient rather than a colleague.

This is also where your Google ranking comes from. Our SEO guide for Johor Bahru businesses covers the rest of that work.

4. Bilingual Or Trilingual Pages

Johor Bahru clinics see Malay, Chinese and English speaking patients, and increasingly Singaporean patients who search in English with “JB” rather than “Johor Bahru”.

At minimum, the essentials (what you treat, where you are, how to book) should be available in each language your patients use. The full set of treatment pages can follow. Each language version should be written, not machine translated; a Chinese-speaking patient can tell the difference in two seconds.

Typical market pricing in JB for a Bahasa Malaysia version of a website adds roughly RM 1,200 to RM 3,000, and a Chinese version RM 1,800 to RM 3,500, because every page is produced twice. Budget for it from the start rather than bolting it on later.

5. A PDPA Notice And A Proper Privacy Policy

Clinics collect some of the most sensitive data there is. Under the Personal Data Protection Act 2010, you need to tell patients what you collect, why, who it is shared with and how they can reach you about it, and you need their consent for the purposes you state.

On the website, that means:

  • A privacy policy page written for your clinic, not copied from a template that mentions another business.
  • A PDPA notice on every form, with a consent tick box where the data goes beyond a simple enquiry.
  • Forms that send data over HTTPS to a system you control, not to a free form tool that stores patient details overseas without your knowledge.
  • A clear line about how WhatsApp enquiries are handled and who sees them.

This is not just compliance. A patient who sees that you take their data seriously trusts you with their health more readily.

6. Speed, Mobile And The Basics

  • Loads in a couple of seconds on mobile data. Most JB patients will open your website on a phone, often in a car park.
  • Tap-to-call and tap-to-WhatsApp buttons that actually work on a phone.
  • HTTPS, a working contact form, no broken links, no “under construction” pages.
  • Google Business Profile linked to the website, with the same name, address and phone number on both.

7. For Singapore Patients Specifically

If a share of your patients comes across the causeway, give them a page of their own. Directions from the CIQ and from the RTS Link when it opens, parking, whether you accept Singapore insurance or can provide receipts for claims, prices in RM with a note that you accept cards, and typical waiting times. Clinics that do this well get a steady stream of weekend appointments from Singapore.

What A Clinic Website Costs In Johor Bahru

Most clinics need a full business website rather than a single page: a home page, doctors, several treatment pages, a Singapore patients page, booking and contact. Typical market ranges for a five-to-ten page business website in JB run from roughly RM 3,500 to RM 8,000 from a local agency, and RM 7,000 to RM 16,000 for corporate or boutique work.

Our Full Website starts from RM 2,888 one-time for a Small website of up to 5–8 pages, with Medium (8–20 pages) from RM 3,888 and Large (20+ pages) from RM 4,888, with a fixed price quote before we start and payment split 50% to start and 50% on launch. Additional languages, a booking funnel and ongoing SEO are quoted separately so you only pay for what you need. The pricing page has every number.

The Checklist, In One Place

  1. Booking button on every page, WhatsApp and a short form.
  2. Doctors, registration, real photos, reviews, prices.
  3. A page per treatment, written for patients.
  4. Essentials in Malay, Chinese and English as your patients need.
  5. PDPA notice on every form and a real privacy policy.
  6. Fast on mobile, tap-to-call, tap-to-WhatsApp.
  7. A page for Singapore patients.
